In last week survey we asked you: “ What does club music is in need
for?”
50% of you answered more ideas, 30% of you thinks that club music needs
more professional producers
and 20% claims for a more liberty and a little risk more from djs and musical
programmers in radio stations.

- Just a few days left to the publishing of “She’s My
Shelter”. It’s the project by “The Clubbers”
team, that is to say: Daniele Cannizzaro, Thomas Schwartz and Fausto Fanizza.
The name of this project is the same of the lethal virus spreading on the
net... “Blaster.Worm”!
On the vinyl there are three more or less “dangerous” versions
of the virus:
“Original Mix”, happy track with almost pop
infuences;
“Starchaser Mix”, that mixes house and electronic;
“Club Mix”, dancefloor oriented.
H*Plus Records is getting really dangerous!!!

“Superstar Heroes”. His Computer Technology has
conquered the dancefloors all over Europe but he’s already working
to its follow-up. Last but not least he’s just finished another project
that our label is going to print before Summer. Uops... maby we’ve

- Well-known djs all over the world are putting their hands on Lady
Helena!!!
Paul Van Dyk and Zombie Nation are already
playing “First Lady” but everyday we receive
reactions from the whole Europe. Famous Djs can’t do without her vinyl...
this is the case of Napsugar
from German Beauty Case records. There’s also a dj writing from Australia...
he’s in despair ‘cause he’s looking for the record but
he can’t menage to find it. Firs Lady... for full penetration!!!

- After JFK’s great success, Tony H is striking back
with a new record... that’s the only piece of news we got from locked
Taf-A-Taf Studios. Just a clue... “Tony H’s
favourite band are Depeche Mode”...

BELGIUM
Emerged in ’99 thanks to Dj Hell’s Gigolo, Filip Vandendriessche
(aka Dj Valyom) is to strike back with different big projects. The most
important one is the rebirth of his own label, UFO Records London, after
a long eigth years silence. This is going to be possible thanks to English
distributor V.M.M.W. leaded by Harvey Lane. In a few weeks is going to be
published one of his old tracks’ remix by Troy Geary alias Dj Slip...
but we have to wait till the end of March for his new single (the “Red
Sector” ’s follow-up) on Bjark Jakobsen’s Tech-nology.
By June is going also to be available “Top Gun” ‘s exclusive
remix by Norwegian Mua (from “Territorial Conflict E.p.”, published
in ’98 on KK). Just a last news: get ready for Valyom’s electronic
version of Doors’ classic “Riders Of The Storm”.

GERMANY
In these springtime days is going to be published Areal Records’ “Areal”
cd. It’s one of the labels leaded by Michel Mayer’s Kompakt.
The collection contains 12 tracks (taken from the label’s cathalogue)
mixed by Jan-Eric Kaiser. He’s choosen old fashioned analogic sounds.
The ambient-techno intro is signed by Konfekt with “Mentt (Ambis)”.
Then comes ReMute’s “Expired”. We already know him because
of his works on Zombie Nation’s Dekathlon, Pocketgame and Voltage
Musique. Ada’s “Blindhouse” and Metope’s “Drachma”
is electrified microhouse. There’re also Basteroid’s “Sympathy
For Disruption” and “Against Luftwiderstand”. Please notice
the presence of Undo/Redo with “Zeitgleich”, “Gleitzeit”
and “Bedhanger”. These tracks are outstanding examples of new
German techno scene mixing past, present and future of electronic music.

SWITZERLAND
Music platform Imploz Music, that gives hospitality to several electronic
labels, is ready to launch many new releases. Cadenza Records comes back
with the e.ps. of Luciano & Pier Bucci and of Quenum & Lee Van Dowski.
They’re both microhouse style. In a few days Viking Music is going
to publish some remixes of a Miss Diy track signed by Dj Assault, Jetta,
Crowdpleaser and St. Plomb. Then is going publish also Kate Wax’ “Black
Sheep E.p.” and a still untitled e.p. by Dave The Hustler & Evil
C. The last one is going to include remixes by Crowdpleaser and Water Lilly.
We’re waiting also for the return of Phictiv with “Ok E.p.”
by TCS Team, of Arm with Rosario’s e.p. and of Plak with “An
Area E.p.”. “Tales Of Unrest”, the first Imploz compilation,
is scheduled for June. Ben Larsen’s “Mellowtone”, Agnes’
“Illusion”, Autodub’s “Borneo” and Crowdpleaser’s
“Imploz” are going to be included in it.

SPAIN
After having worked for a long time with Alek Stark and his Star Whores
Records, endowed Robert Calvin arrives to Turbo Recordings (Canadian Tiga’s
label). The well-known Spanish artist proposes “Methods Of Dance”,
a record that recalls to your memory old fashioned and dusty sounds. Just
a few examples: “Azid Life” with a vocal-hook from Felix’
“Don’t You Want Me” (1992) and “Blind Vision”,
that is pure techno-pop. Very interesting his funny ‘80s style “Mummy
Wants Some Eggs” and “Miami Is Nice”, maby it’s
dedicated to the Winter Music Conference that has just taken place in Florida.
